Description
The Engineer is a weak but cheap unit whose role is to construct all your buildings for your town, including the resource drop sites. The only other unit that can build anything are the civilians and they can only build farms. However, Engineers can build 3 times faster than Greek villagers. They can also defend themselves fairly well as they are armed with a hammer but should never make up the bulk of an army. It is best to keep a few of them to expand your town and construct forward bases on the map.
Jupiter's engineers are also equipped with a crossbow to hunt wild animals.

Trivia:
The engineer was originally going to be a unit called Velite that was a fast-moving spear-throwing archer unit. As a matter of fact, all infantry and archer units were going to be able to construct buildings. This idea was eventually dropped as it was too similar to the Norse civilization. Instead, a single unit had the sole responsibility to expand your town. The engineer was also originally going to be an archer that attacks with a crossbow but was instead made a melee unit due to the excessive number of archers in the roman civilization (although Jupiter's Engineers still retain the ranged attack vs. animals). The engineer was inspired by 's suggestions.
