Pokedex entry: As mother of all monsters, it is bent onto plunging the world into absolute chaos. Its mouth is said to be able to devour the very things it creates to replenish lost energy.
Trivia: As its name suggests, it is based on the Greek mythical creature Echidna, mother of all monsters, feared even by the Olympians. Its design is also slightly inspired by Nadjas and Mermaids. Echidna is the version mascot of Pokemon Omega. In the story, Team Luciper held the queen of Hageto hostage. The leader of Team Luciper, Leto, speaks to the protagonist and instructs them that for their release, they must capture the chimera trio. Although this seems like an opportunity, Leto knows that the player cannot command the trio unless they possess a special orb, which he happens to keep on him. With the trio captured, this would allow Echidna to escape the underwater chasm where she lies buried in sea scum. Leto will then attempt use Echidna for world domination but the power of this mighty beast will prove too much for him to handle. The player will then be given the task to capture Echidna in an attempt to prevent the destruction of Hageto. Echidna is always going to be female, and its counterpart is Typhon. It is one of the two chimera trio masters (since it and Typhon are the Chimera trio's parents).

Effect: Inflicts damage, hitting the target 2-5 times per use. There is a ~33.3% chance that it will hit 2 times, a ~33.3% chance it will hit 3 times, a ~16.7% chance it will hit 4 times, and a ~16.7% chance it will hit 5 times. Provided that the move does not miss, it will hit ~3.167 times on average, giving it an average power of ~79.2.

If a Focus Sash, Focus Band, or Sturdy activates before the last strike is dealt, the following strike will cause the defending Pokémon to faint. A Focus Band can still activate repeatedly to prevent fainting, but each chance is independent of the previous one.

If the target has Weak Armor, each strike will activate it.
