Mario Kart W2 - Disco Bowls

Description

Disco Bowls
Flower Cup
3 laps

After passing the finish line, bowling balls fire out of the silver cannon (at a regulated rate) located on the colourful shelf in the back where all balls are held back. Drivers drive straight ahead and must avoid the bowling balls or risk being knocked over. Up ahead, a random set of pins (max 3) will be dropped and have a similar function as thwomps (squishing players under them or blocking their paths). The bowling ball will knock whatever pin it hits and fly forward into the back area. Other pins will be picked up and held back for the next batch. Racers will also race onto the back area and launched over the gap thanks to a boost pad.

Along with the still rolling back, the racers follow the track until they meat a rotating metallic structure with holes opening and closing at a random rate. Bowling balls will fall in the hole to be removed from the track but racers can fall in the hole too. On the edges of the rotating structure are stunt pads for a risky boost of speed. Racers then continue onwards until they pass in an area below the rotating structure where bowling palls exit through tubes on the right and enter tubes on the left. Entering the right tubes is impossible and entering the left tubes will cause the player to drop off the course.

After a wide turn, racers will be launched onto a long boost pad, similar to the one on GCN Rainbow Road, all the way back to the forward area where they will be rejoined by a bowling ball. Racers can take on the boost pads to gain more speed while watching out for the ball or pick up item boxes. Up ahead is a large wheel that lifts the players and the ball onto a structure where you would normally pick up a bowling ball in real life. But instead, the ball rolls up the curved wall and into the shelves. Racers must continue down a curved ramp that leads back to the finish line.

A disco ball emitting colorful lights hangs above the forward area of the course. This course can belong to either Waluigi or Funky Kong depending on your preference, although it likely belongs to Waluigi since the DK family already own a handful of courses in this game.

With each course I create, I will reveal one retro course I picked (some might change with demand).

Banana cup: (still debating)
1.
2. Ribbon Road (GBA)
3.
4.

The second ramp that overlaps the course is a glide panel. Presents scattered around the circuit serve as obstacles and will shatter when hit. Items may appear out of the box as such.
20% nothing
30% banana
20% mushroom
20% coin
10% star

This is an interesting course. I love how it's a bowling course, we don't usually have a bowling theme course on Mario Kart games.
