My Solar Systems

Description

It took me two nights to do this.

This model of the different solar systems is not to scale in any way but gives a general idea of how each one is set up compared to our Solar System at the top.

Foidart System
The first system to be discovered outside our Solar System.

Ra
The closest planet to its sun is respectably named after the Egyptian god of the Sun. It hardly has an atmosphere and experience dramatic temperature changes like Mercury. However, it has a lot more dust on its surface like Mars.

Geb
The second planet from the sun and the first planet discovered to have life on it. Has one supercontinent and two smaller continents at the poles. Geb has two moons, the larger being Isis. Osiris is the smaller one and appears to be a mere asteroid captured by the planet's gravity.

Set
A Super Earth that is third in line from the Sun. It is heavily cratered, rocky and unable to sustain life. Set has one dark moon named Anubis.

Horus
The first gas giant and fourth planet from the Sun. It has a solid but narrow ring system that reflect a great quantity of light, like a mirror, back towards the other planets before it. Horus has violent wind storms. It's possible the the orbit of Set is slowly expanding, which will result in a collision with Horus, destroying the Super Earth, reminescent of the story of vengeance in Egyptian Mythology. Horus has four known moons, with only one of them being named. Kehpri is the largest moon in the Foidart System and is named after the ridge pattern on its surface that's reminescent of a beetle.

Hathor
The fifth planet from the sun is an ice giant that surpasses Uranus in size. Its orbit is also less extreme but its similar color earned it the name of the Egyptian goddess of the sky. Hathor may have the most moons of all the planets in the Foidart System, but none of them have been named yet.

Nepthys
The sixth and last planet of the Foidart System. Being so far from the sun, this Venus sized rocky planet is covered in ice. It is slightly closer to its sun than Pluto is to our sun, but is still dark enough to earn the name of the goddess of death. It has two small moons.

Aesir System
The second system to be found and the closest one of our solar system. It was also the first one to be visited by human space travelers.

Baldr
The first planet from its sun and the planet with the highest Bond albedo. Baldr gets its name not only for its beauty but because of the tall spire on its surface that is reminescent of an arrow. It is also the smallest planet in the Aesir System.

Loki
The second planet from the sun and, contrary to Baldr, has the lowest Bond Albedo at 0.03. Loki has no moons but has craters named afters the trickster god's children, the largest being Hel.

Odin
A large blue jovian gas giant and the largest planet in the Aesir System. It gets its name from the yellow hurricane in its atmosphere, which in turn is appropriately called Odin's Eye. Odin is slightly smaller than Jupiter and has 9 known moons, each named after the 9 worlds. The most famous moon is Midgard, who supports life.
Nifleheim: the fourth largest moon, it has a smooth surface with a dark blue tint.
Alfheim: the smallest moon
Asgard: the largest moon, it has a green tint and is believed to have ice on its surface
Jotunheim: the third largest moon supports a heavily cratered ice sheet.
Midgard: this Mars sized planet is the second largest moon of Odin, and supports a complex biosphere and a thick atmosphere. It needs 11 Earth days to orbit Odin.
Nidavellir: a small pale moon
Muspelheim: a small dark moon
Vanaheimr: a dull grey moon that orbits Odin at a great speed and the closest moon to Midgard
Svartalfheim: another small dark moon with only 40% of its surface photographed so far

Thor
An orange gas giant that is shown to experience violent thunderstorms in its atmosphere.

Skadi
A cold Super Earth that is far enough from both suns to support thick ice sheets. It will occasionally support an atmosphere when it is as close as possible to both suns.

Freyja
A pink Saturn-like planet with its own complex ring system. It involves a smaller but bright inner ring followed by a larger ring system with a dark stripe at its center. The rings may be asteroids caught from the nearby Bifrost Belt.

Heimdall
The only planet to orbit the second sun. This is a hot Earth sized planet that orbits closest to the Bifrost Belt and is named after the god who guards it in Norse mythology.

Toci System
The third system discovered and first binary red dwarf system discovered to support life. It is the most condensed system known.

Toci-I
The closest planet to the suns and the third planet discovered to support life. It orbits far enough to not be tidally locked but to also support life. The planet is covered with flora and is subjected to deadly solar flares. The planet is temporarily off-limits to human exploration but AI exploration is still ongoing. Toci-1 has one moon.

Toci-II
A small rocky planet

Toci-III
The largest planet in this system is a jovian planet with brown clouds.

Toci-IV
A gold colored jovian planet smaller than Saturn.

Lyell System
The sixth system discovered to support life and the least explored due to limited funding. The planets of interest are also cornered by gas giants, making it difficult to calculate the approach of space crafts. The Lyell System is located in the Kanangar Sector: one-planet-at-a-time.deviantar…

Lyell-1
A gas giant that orbits the sun closer than Mercury orbits our own.

Lyell-2
A small heavily crated orange rock planet.

Lyell-3
This smaller than Earth world is essentially a terraformed Io. It is further away from the sun that Earth is to ours but is still within the goldilock zone. The atmosphere can be cold but volcanic eruptions provide much needed heat. Lyell-3 is known for its belt of giant trees and supports a single moon.

Lyell-4
The largest gas giant has a thin but bright ring system.

Lyell-5
A blue green ice giant with a similar tilt to Uranus but a much more distant ring system. The rings stretch far from the planet but come closer in between both extremes.

Eden System
This system is poorly known aside from the two small planets that orbit one another in a Pluto-Charon like fashion. Its naming sparked great controversy among religious and non-religious groups.

Adam
The main planet of the binary system, its continents are almost absent of life but its oceans are abundant with it. It is home to animated coral reefs and triple-gendered animals. It was the first planet to support animals from another world: the Diastimataxi (who flew from Eve). This travel is made possible by a vast cloud of gases that orbits both worlds.

Eve
The second planet of the binary system, it has a balanced mixture of oceans and continents, but most of the land is desert. Its light gravity allows it to support giant invertebrates.

The binary planet system is followed by three unnamed gas giants.

Dystopian System
The fifth system, this devastated world showed the consequences of a civilization always seeking power. It was formerly inhabited by a sentient race more advanced than us but was abandoned. Most planets are unnamed.

A hot rocky world that has been untouched by the former inhabitants except for a couple of space probes.

A hot dwarf planet

A fourth hot world with a considerable portion of its crust excavated. The former inhabitants may have taken a considerable amount of its resources to construct their machines.

Tunjera
This Earth sized world was once teeming with life. However, massive negligence, pollution and exploitation has greatly damaged the ecosystem and acidified the oceans. Estimates suggests the planet only supports about 10% the amount life it should've had. The only animals that survived were either the strongest or the most likely to survive with little water. The planet is also home to cyborg-like creatures. The air on this world is toxic to humans. Tunjera has one moon.

One pale small planet follows.

A large mars like planet follows. Evidence suggests it once had ice caps but they were all excavated.

The largest planet resembles a dull brown Jupiter.

Followed by a Neptune sized gas giant.

The furthest planet is a massive ice giant that orbits further from the sun than Pluto does from our own.

Utopian System
This system was the fourth to be discovered and ultimately led to the discovery of the Dystopian system. It only has one planet which is in fact a large superorganism created by the former inhabitants. It was an attempt to create a new world for life to florish but was ultimately doomed to fail since the planet itself would not survive under such stress. The sun is also a white giant with a short life span and there were no gas giants to protect J'era Kai from meteors.

Very nice.
I have my own solar system. i still need to do a diagram for each planet and their moons, if any.
