Krokotonos

(Crocodile Tuna)

These 80 cm long micropredators swim in medium schools looking for smaller animals to eat. They chomp down on their victims with great strength and reduce them to pulps. The jaws then spit out the bolus which is then sucked up by the real mouth. The spines on their bodies help protect them from predators, such as the sentient Ergabrachis rorschach . They are apparently very delicious but also very elusive and can escape macropredators with great bursts of speed. They aren't quite as fast as Earth's tunas due to their eyes that create drag in return for better eyesight. The evolution of a split jaw was probably meant to avoid damage to the rest of the body due to armored and fiesty prey, especially those with hidden weapons. They have five nostrils on their jaws.

"As you may have guessed, this creature is based on the design of the Tuna. I was very excited to make a sketch of this creature based on the scrap I made. When I started writing this description, I realised I had little to talk about it. Sad really."

Question: you are now living 200 years in the future. You enter an exotic restaurant which serves alien meat on the menu. Would you eat an alien creature, like the Krokotonos above?
